Category description:
Floor brackets are used for surface mounting. They give the fall protection the
necessary stability.
For this
reason, it is crucial that the fastening to the
floor is carried out carefully, because the posts transfer large forces to the brackets (lever effect).
Balconies and roof terraces are usually equipped with a seal that is laid under the screed. When drilling, this seal should not be pierced in order to avoid water damage.

Post spacing / beam load:
Recommendations:
The assumed horizontal load capacity (beam load) depends on the type of use. It is lower in private areas than in public spaces with large crowds.
There are 3 categories:
- A - without significant public traffic (e.g. living spaces) with qk = 0.5 kN/m
- B - with significant public traffic (e.g. corridors) with qk = 1.0 kN/m
- C - for large crowds (e.g. standing tribunes, public escape routes) with qk = 2.0 kN/m
For a railing height of 1000 mm (42.4 x 2.0 mm with 3-hole base plate d=100 mm), the post spacing should be selected as follows:
(A): max. 2 m (B): max. 1 m (C): max. 0.85 m
For a foundation height of 1200 mm (42.4 x 2.0 mm with 3-hole base plate d=100 mm), the post spacing should be selected as follows:
(A): max. 1.5 m (B): max. 0.8 m (C): max. 0.4 m
When installing the base brackets with 3 mounting holes, care should be taken to ensure that 2 mounting screws are positioned on the side facing the traffic area.
